Meet the Teacher Evening
West Ridge School is hosting the Meet the Teacher evening this Thursday, September 25, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Please meet us in the gym at 6:30 pm for brief opening remarks from the West Ridge Leadership Team.
After our time in the gym, families will have the opportunity to meet their child's teachers and tour our P.E. and complementary course spaces. To ensure that families are able to attend multiple grade sessions, teaching teams have the following designated time slots for the grades that they teach, and P.E. and complementary courses are drop in:
- 6:30 to 6:38 - Meet in the Gym for a Welcome
- 6:40 to 6:58 – Grade 5/6
- 7:00 to 7:18 – Grade 7
- 7:20 to 7:38 – Grade 8
- 7:40 to 7:58 - Grade 9
Please note, this is not a conference and there is no time allotted to speak one one-on-one with your child’s teacher about your child and their learning. If this is required, please email your child’s teacher to set up a meeting at another time.
We look forward to meeting new families and seeing familiar faces!
Orange Shirt Day – Truth and Reconciliaction

Throughout the week, classes will be engaging in age-appropriate activities to enhance student understanding.

Terry Fox Run
It was wonderful to see all of our students and staff outside running and walking together in support of Terry Fox on Friday!. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Hit Me With Your Best Shot! And Beepin’ for Bucks fundraisers, as well as those who brought in Toonies for Terry, and everyone who donated online. I think with the donations we collected at school, we are close to hitting our target, but not quite there.
If you would still like to donate, it is not too late; you can donate online here: https://schools.terryfox.ca/98269.
