Pedagogy

  • Our teachers will use the latest pedagogical research to guide instruction.    
  • Students will understand what they need to know, how they will know when they get there, and what they will do next.
  • We will assess student learning on an ongoing basis and be prepared to intervene when students are not achieving their potential.
  • Feedback will be shared with students on an ongoing basis to maximize learning.
  • We will provide learning tasks that are engaging, relevant, challenging, and authentic.
  • Students will receive instruction through a variety of pedagogically appropriate methods and will have voice into how they demonstrate their understanding.
  • Students will be exposed to instruction that leads to automaticity of the fundamentals of literacy and numeracy, while participating in tasks that develop the competencies of an engaged thinker, an ethical citizen, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
