Our conferences are also coming up March 21th from 4-8pm (in-person), and on March 22nd from 8-1:30pm (virtual). More details will be coming home from our front office, shortly.

Updates this coming week for families are:

Fashion Studies

In honour of “pink shirts against bullying day”, grade 8 and 9 Fashion Studies student’s machine stitched, and hand beaded tiny pink shirts. CTF classes focus on exploring interests and skills while making connections to career possibilities. While each shirt is unique, they send the message that everyone belongs and we celebrate diversity.

We are pleased to announce that the Theatre program here at West Ridge is now on Instagram! You can find us using our handle @wrstheatre. Please consider adding us! We will be posting photos, updates and more.

PE Weekly Update

Volleyball

Congratulations to all of our Volleyball teams who had a very successful weekend on the courts at the Marshall Springs Invitational Tournament. Our teams brought home 3 tournament banners! Additionally, our Sr. Boys won the Feeder Tournament at Ernest Manning this past Friday. Way to go Raptors!

This week is the final week of regular league games. All the best to everyone!

Payments for the Jr. Boys & Sr. Boys team clothing has been posted to your CBE accounts. Please complete payments at your earliest convenience.

Child and Youth Well-Being: A Webinar Series for Parents and Guardians

Metal Health & Anxiety (Grade 7-12) – March 14th at 6:30-8:00pm

Learn evidence-based strategies to support youth in Grades 7 to 12 in managing stress and anxiety. Join our AHS partners from the mental health literacy team and clarify terms and present evidence-based strategies to support youth in managing stress and anxious feelings. Learn when clinical assessment is needed and what treatment may involve. Gain information and strategies to boost your own mental health and support the young people in your life. Meeting Link HERE.

Parent Speaker Night March 6th at 6:30pm

Join us to get some insight on public speaking with Project Five, Communicate with Confidence. They will be working with our grade 6s this year, so we will also get a glimpse of what they are learning in school as well. www.projectfive.ca
