Here you will find all pertinent information about our athletics teams. Tryout, practice, and game information, will also be posted on the athletics calendar that is located on the whiteboard outside of the Physical Education office.
Cross-Country

Information Meeting:
There will be an informative meeting on Wednesday, September 3 at lunch (starting at 12:08pm) in the main gym. Please bring your lunch. This meeting is for any student athletes who are interested in being on the cross-country team this season. Please note there are no tryouts as Cross-Country is a no cut team.

Developmental Basketball:
We will be offering Developmental Basketball for our Grade 5 students. These sessions are being run by members of our Grade 5 teaching team and are open to any Grade 5 students who wish to continue developing their basketball skills. The developmental sessions will occur on Friday mornings from 7:45-8:30am on the following dates:

Tryout Schedule:
Grade 6-8 students are eligible to tryout for the junior teams, while Grade 8-9 students can tryout for the senior teams. Tryouts have been scheduled to allow any Grade 8 students who want to tryout for the senior teams to do so and still attend junior tryouts in the event they don’t make the senior squad.

Developmental Badminton
We are excited to announce that there will be Developmental Badminton for Grade 5s this year. Developmental sessions will be held on the following Fridays at 7:45am. All Grade 5 students who are interested in learning about and playing badminton are encouraged to attend.

Developmental Sports
Developmental sports will be offered periodically throughout the school year, typically in conjunction with seasons of play as listed above. These sports are aimed at our Grade 5 students, who are unable to tryout for any of our athletic teams. These sports will be offered at different times, based on the availability of a teacher/coach and the gymnasium.
Insurance Coverage
It is highly recommended that all students involved with inter-school athletics have some form of accident insurance. This can be obtained either through the Accident Insurance Plan endorsed by the Calgary Board of Education or through a private insurance company.
