Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we head into the Holiday Season, this is our last message of the year and we would like to remind all families that schools will be closed for the Winter Break, from December 21 to January 5. Our first day back will be Monday, January 6, 2025.
We wish you a Happy Holiday Season!
We would like to thank amazing student-teacher Mr. Sam Drybrough, who has been with us for the past few months. We wish you all the best in your next teaching steps.
Spirit Week
Spirit Week is December 16 - 20. Students are encouraged to show school spirit by dressing for the theme of the day. These themes include:
- December 16 - Color Wars - Each grade wears a certain color! Grade 5 - yellow, Grade 6 - red, Grade 7- green, Grade 8- orange, Grade 9 – blue.
- December 17 - Twin Day - Dress like your friend or favorite teacher!
- December 18 - Crazy Hat Day
- December 19 - Pajama Day
- December 20 - Ugly Holiday Sweater Day
Athletics
Our wrestling team competed very well in their first tournament of the season. They finished 5th as a team and had 12 first place finishes from individual wrestlers. Their season continues with the Bearmania Tournament at Lakeshore School on December 13-14. Best of luck to all wrestlers who are competing this week.
Paperwork for all of the ski/snowboard trips (Grades 6-9) has been distributed to students. Please ensure that the completed forms are returned to the PE office by the dates indicated on each form. If your child still needs their forms, have them stop by the PE office to pick-up a copy.
Volleyball season starts the week of January 6, 2025. The senior teams (Grades 8 and 9) will have their tryouts first before the junior teams (Grades 6-8) begin theirs. More information will be forthcoming about volleyball season next week, so stay tuned!
