Dear Families

Looking ahead to next week, we wish our grade 6 students a fun filled outdoor learning experience at Camp Chief Hector.  Thank you to our grade 6 teachers for all their time and effort they have spent over the last few weeks preparing this opportunity for our students.

As we move into the long weekend, we say farewell to Ms. Erica Dunwoody, our Learning Leader for Student Services.  Ms. Dunwoody is commencing a maternity leave.  We wish her and her family all the best!  Ms. Sarah Mckenzie, our Resource Teacher, will be assuming many of Ms. Dunwoody’s responsibilities for the year.  We also extend a warm welcome to Ms. Emily Mckenzie and Mr. Cody Pendergast who have temporarily joined the Raptors!

Wishing all our families a lovely Victoria Day long weekend!

Kel Connelly and Marla Paxton

Night of The Raptor Donations

As our season of West Ridge Athletics comes to a close, once again we will be hosting the Night of The Raptor. This is an evening that includes dinner, awards, a guest speaker, a slideshow, and some time for athletes to celebrate each other.

We are reaching out to our parent community to support us in attaining a variety door prizes and/or raffle prizes to offer our athletes (gift cards, shirts, hoodies, lanyards, sports equipment i.e. soccer ball)

If you are able to support us through donations of any kind please reach out to one of us on the PE Team through email: jebraynen@cbe.ab.ca,  meangel@cbe.ab.catcdixon@cbe.ab.ca or jtstratton@cbe.ab.ca

Footwear for PE

With the nicer weather comes a change in our students' choice of footwear. We are currently facilitating our Track & Field Module and with that, it is imperative that students are wearing athletic footwear for classes to prevent a multitude of possible injuries. As we move into the final stretch of the school year the Phys Ed team is requesting your support in reminding students to be prepared for class with proper footwear. We thank you in advance!
